jurapavillon – nature-inspired design
for the jura park aargau  

designed to seamlessly blend into the idyllic landscape of the jura park aargau, this modular pavilion is a tribute to nature’s organic beauty. inspired by the translucency of leaves swaying in the wind, its structure allows for a playful interplay of light and shadow, creating a shelter within the outdoors that feels both integrated and harmonious with its surroundings.

the pavilion is composed of self-supporting aluminum frame elements built around a stable pillar, each element holding wooden lamellas that echo the park’s natural textures. its modular design enables flexible placement across any planar space within the park, ensuring adaptability to various locations and needs. the flat roof serves as a living surface, allowing for the planting of vegetation, further reinforcing the structure’s symbiosis with the environment.

with its light yet durable construction, this pavilion is a sustainable, flexible, and immersive addition to jura park aargau. 

beyond its aesthetic appeal as iconic architectural expression of the parks natural elegance, the pavilion is a functional hub for park visitors. 

it offers:

– shelter from rain and sun, providing a comfortable resting spot in all weather conditions.

– space for educational elements, such as info boards, maps, and flyers, to guide visitors and share knowledge about the park’s biodiversity and history.

– seating areas with tables and benches, making it an ideal space for school classes, groups, or individuals to pause, enjoy nature, or have lunch.
