meet the founder
ingmar haudenschild is the founder of «neue form», working internationally on projects in product and industrial design across industries from fashion and perfume to consumer goods and high-tech.
his path began at the fhnw hgk academy of art and design basel, where he studied industrial and integrative design. but the real foundation was built much earlier – through a family legacy in the industrial town of fiskars in finland, where highest craftsmanship, materials and human ingenuity shaped everyday life and the foundation of todays industrial design history.
over the years, ingmar’s design language has grown from many voices: tapio wirkkala and alvar aalto’s sensitivity to form and material, alfredo häberli’s humor and lightness, tom dixon’s sculptural boldness, starck’s intelligence and wit, dieter rams’ clarity, the eames’ play with function and emotion – and virgil abloh’s fearless way of questioning what design can be. together these influences became his philosophy: design that is intelligent, emotional and alive.
this philosophy is called neue form. for ingmar, neue form is a movement – a renaissance of industrial design. it challenges the cold rationalism that dominates the market, and asks: what if form follows emotion? what if everyday objects and products could carry memory, critique and poetry too, while still pushing boundaries in innovation, function and sustainability? neue form is about giving shape to curiosity, contrasts and joy, while still grounded in function and precision.
the designer believes that product design cannot be reduced to usability or sustainability alone – it must connect, provoke and stay with people long after the first encounter.
neue form thus exists as a renaissance of how we create, live and remember.
